Mushrooms vs. Green star polyps

Thank you for all the input on the other thread. It has been very helpful.

I have one more question and I started a new thread so it wouldn't get lost.

Are mushrooms as hearty as green star polyps?

I know they won't spread as fast, but I think it would add more color.

They are both very hardy and both will spread pretty quickly.

A thing to keep in mind is that shrooms can shadow low corals like encrusting monti's.
