mushrooms

if i get about 5 mushroom polyps will they spread all over the rest of my live rock? do they spread fast? how long does it usually take?

chris, it really depends on the type of mushroom. I have several kinds in my tank. My red shrooms spread like wildfire (a new baby shroom every 3-4 wks), but others like my purple or speckled have not reproduced in 6 months, some never. Water flow plays a part as well. Keep a little flow on them, but not so much that they are flopping all around. Hope this helps.
