That is a great price!!! I agree with El Guapo....Puffers and Triggers like to pick on slow moving stuff, be it fish, inverts, rocks...whatever.

You could try it . the frog might blend in well enough that it wont be a target . Hard to say . I honestly have never herd of the combo being tried in a tank before .

You're not gonna have to worry about the Puffer biting the Frog.
I'd give that Puffer no more than 30 minutes, before he's in the belly of the Frog.
Frogfish are species specific setups. You keep a Frog and anything else in the tank is expendable/food.

This is 100% correct, the puffer will become an 80 dollar snack.

His Frogfish is only 4 inches....That would be a neat trick.
Frogs often take prey even larger than themselves.
It wouldn't take anything for that 4" fish to take at least 6".
Even if the Puffer is too big to eat, don't put it past the Frog to try...and then die.

Hmm, I have two puffers...a porc and a stars and stripes with a picasso and a domino damsel, and they do fine. The trigger is the mean one. I have had others in the tank as well for short periods of time, and the puffers never bothered them. Don't know about the frog fish. If it were me I would sell that frog and get the puffer
. They are my favorite next to my boxfish.

I have to add my experience though it's a little different. I have a Rhinopias and everyone and their uncle said you can't have tangs, angels, and foxfaces with the Rhino. The tangs, Angel, and Foxface will constantly pick at the Rhino, Blah , blah, blah. Well I did it anyway and the Rhino is now 6 months old and nothing messes with the Rhino. The Foxface did once and the Rhino reacted and he knows now that the Rhino is not a piece of algae for him to eat. I'm tired of everyone sticking to a yes or no answer when it comes to compatability. Each case will be different except for the obvious ones, (i.e. 2" clownfish with a 7" Lionfish), though I bet they have lived happily in a tank together. Most importantly have options if you do try to add the Puffer with the Frog. Have a seperate tank set up. Set time aside to watch the fish interact from a distance for long periods of time. Regards, Tim
