Is it just the picture or is your water a little cloudy? I'm thinking it's the picture..the tang one looks fine. If it's cloudy I would wait a bit and let the bacteria catch up with the bio load. Anyway, how about a full tank shot,, that's a beautiful lion..

just the pictures, is it the one with the moray?
its clear, theres abit of a green tint because my lights are too strong for a FOWLR, so i may trade them in for some LED's, a LFS has them in there tanks and the fish look INCREDIBLE, and the algae growth is minimum, and they say they clean the class once a week, and i do it every 2 days and yet they still look worse.
will get a picture of my emperror tonight:)
in my old post there were pics of him in juvi colour, but he's mnow fully changed and looks INCREDIBLE!
and i'll get a full tank shot soon too :)

Personally I would not add another fish with that many fish already in there. Also the Emperor and Niger are going to outgrow your tank.

Everything I have read on the Emperor Angel says 100 gal or more, and the Niger Trigger fish says 125 gal or more.. I think the OP stated that his Tank was a 130 gal, how will these 2 fish out grow his tank.

100g for an emperor is a bad suggestion most everyone I know feels 240 is pretty much min for an emperor angel pretty sure most of the popular forums consider this the standard to for a full grown emperor ive seen full grown nigers aroun 18" stocking on 125-130 is usually 2 large fish 10-12" 3 fish 7-9" with some little ones thrown in there are some exceptions but most consider the standard hence why just about any forum you go to and search these 2 fish most stocking guidelins are going to say 240g
If all the reading you have done says 100+ you must just be checking the fish selling sites as I cant think of many places that reccomened that at all except for the sites that sell fish.

Minimum Suggested Tank Size:

300 gallons

One of the first suggestions i found on a site
"know for sure that the Emperor will have to be removed from that list...Tank is not nearly large enough for a fish that size."
a reply someone recieved on if they could keep it in a 6ft 125g
"The emperor also gets way too large and will ultimately need at tank about twice as large"
another response about a 125g 72x24x18 tank
"<As stated... a year or more depending on feeding, other factors... will be much happier, healthier in a larger system>"
I could litterally post thosands of quotes like these.
Everytime you see these fish full grown in such a small tank it really is sad (and really when talking large fish 180g and below is a small tank)
I personally could never put a fish that grows over 12" in a tank so small. That does not mean you cant have any fish that still leaves alot of options there good small triggers to get besides the Niger that grow 10-12". I would not put any of the large angels in this tank though.

Sooner or later, the lion is going to eat the anthia and the Niger is probably going to start chewing the lions fins. Lions and triggers seldom do well, long term. Also, anthias seldom thrive in non-reef tanks or as individuals.

An Emperor is not good in a 100G tank, especially a 4' long tank. Nigers I could see being in a 125, but not much more could be put in that tank. The issue with the Emperor comes down to swimming room. They're swimmers, and small tanks, especially those less than 6' long and 2' wide, just won't cut it for them long term.

hi guys, im really sorry i havent been on this in a while, work and stuff has got into my way.
but yeh i have taken into account the size of the emperrors and things with the swiming space.
i have now gotten rid of it!, he had fully changed and got to about 8-9" long!
Grew very quick and i traded it for store credit so the guy could put it in his 12ft long tank!
my stocklist now is as followed:
1x volitans lion (is massive now)
1x niger trigger (is about 6" now)
1x zebra moray (about 2ft long)
1x hippo tang (about 5" long)
1x anthias (about 3")
i understand that the anthias will eventually get to small for the niger - the lion doesnt pay it any attension at all, he is more than big enough for him to eat but he just hasnt.
i have a 30g reef that im setting up and at some point i may put the anthias in there, if not then i will take him to the shop and exchange him
i have ALOT more LR in there now too! when i have got enough time i will take some pictures!
