My 220g Aggressive Pics

Hello all,
I just bought a 220g tank from someone local about 3 weeks ago (It came with everything including the fish) and I just got some pics so figured I would share. Its been a great tank so far, I brought everything from the previous setup, including the water so I think I am in good shape as far as the cycle goes. I saw a very slight bump in ammonia early on (probably from disturbing the sand bed) and it quickly went away and has been gone sence then. Here are the pics of my fish. A full tank shot will be coming shortly.

Yeah I guess (based on the story the original owner told me) these two fish have been the only 2 fish ever in this tank, and they both started out at about 3 inches. Right now the Volitan is about 9 or so and the Clown is like 7. They are beautiful fish, and also pretty calm and laid back. I can stick my hand in the tank, move stuff around and neither of them pay attention to me (and the clown doesnt attack my fingers which is good!). Thanks for the replies guys. I will get that full tank shot up as soon as I can find my camera USB plug. I havent seen it in a couple days and I have the pictures already on the camera, but cant transfer to the computer.
I forgot to add some specs on the tank so here it goes. As far as the pump goes, I dont have much information on it as I did not do any of the plumbing myself, but it is a 2700gph pump, which controls the flow rate of the entire system (its a reverse flow system). I have a 100g sump under the tank (which I will be sectioning part off to become a fuge) along with a 32W UV sterilizer (that number could be wrong, I am trying to remember off the top of my head without looking at it). When I bought the tank it had a homemade undergravel filtration system in it (well sort of, but it wasnt a true undergravel as it pushed the water from bottom to top) and had about 300 lbs of gravel. I took all of that out and added 240 lbs of figi live sand. The tank also came with 2 large (almost weigh 100 lbs each) fiberglass rock sections which are still in the tank, but will be coming out when I can save up some money to buy enough LR to fill the tank. This entire tank, with the fish and all cost me 560$ from the previous owner, then the sand cost me another 210 dollars. Not to bad for a 220g with 2 beautiful fish. I will update a litte more when I can take a look at the exact numbers on the pump and UV sterilizer. Thanks for all of the nice comments, as this tank has just started and should be a nice aggressive here shortly.

Here is a picture of the tank I found on my computer. I still havent been able to find that cord so I will be tearing apart my "office room" to try and find it so I can post some better pictures. This is a picture with only one of the rocks in the tank (this was shortly after we set it up and dumped the sand in). The other rock is almost double the size of this one and makes the tank look a lot better. Sorry for the delay, hope this holds you guys over for a little bit while I find my misplaced USB cord.

nice looking clown
I also know a guy that keeps a clown trigger with 2 lions and has never had a problem for the last 5 years, they were all added at the same time, and at a smaller size also, the clown is 8-10", however this is more of the exception rather than the rule, most clowns are too aggressive to keep with lions.
Keep the pics coming

Well, my USB cord has been found (finally!) and here are some pictures I have from the camera. These are the full tank shots I promised, hope you like them. Let me know what you think, and if you think I should eventually get rid of the faux coral rock stuff and do LR instead (this is my plan, but maybe I should just leave it). Thanks!

Sk8 - dont get rid of the rock! That is awesome! Each of those pieces is worth more than the fish! I would add the live rock to your refugium or sump for the biological filtration.
Very cool tank for the price you got it at.

I have a Snowflake Eel in my 55g that was starting to grow up a little bit that I was thinking about putting in the 220g. Do you think I would have any problems with the eel and trigger together? I know its all a hit or miss thing, but are the statistics for or against me on the eel-trigger combo?

I also thought I should add, if you notice there are no doors on the stand of the tank. That is because the guy actually built the wood as a skirt, that just goes across the front and down the sides, it does not cover the back side. When I need to access the sump, or any of my equiptment I just pull the wood skirt away from the stand (which is all welded 2x2 stainless steel tubing) and work on what I need to work on without anything in my way. The skirt looks like a "U" from the top side, and is a great idea for anyone that is thinking about building a stand with a sump underneath. Just think no more hitting your head on the stand door "framing" on your way out.

I dont have any pictures of it yet, but I will take some tonight and post them. I just have to pull the skirt away from the tank to access everything. All of the filtration is under the tank, the sump is on the right side, the pump, UV sterilizer, and everything else is on the left.

i have a humu humu trigger and a jeweled eel and they r like best friends the trigger is the only1 that the eel will let come inside his rock and lets the trigger swim with him and everthing

Thanks for the info. I am just trying to figure out if it would be smart to move the eel into the tank or if there is a good chance that the trigger would attack him.

Nice set up I wish I lived down in florida seems like there are always systems for sale that are a great deal, looks like it should be easy to maintain too. I thought I got a great deal on a 240 gallon for $1100. Would love to see the filtration set up!

Sorry guys, I completely forgot to take pictures of the filtration setup through all the craziness the last couple of weeks. I was putting the final touches on a wedding which was last weekend so that was my number one priority. I promise to get pictures now that my mind is a little bit more clear. Have a great one, and thanks all for the kind words!
