Very nice! I didn't know you could get a solid lid like that. I might have to look into that.
My fish tank was in my living room and I have 3 mentally challenged adults that live with me. One of them is 80, but mentally she's about 4 and loves Barbie. I could just see my tank one morning with a Barbie floating in it because she wanted to go "swimming".
So I decided I couldn't have the open tank. But that might be possible.

I had the lid custom made by my local glass store.. My hood kinda blew up and it seemed my only option was to buy a clamp on light and have a glass lid made.. I think it looks so much better this way than with the hood it came with.
To make the hood I went and bought a foam board from Walmart and placed it on top and traced around the outside edges and then had them polish them so there would be no sharpe edges that my kids would get hurt on..

The light is a Corallife Aqualight Advanced Series 150W Clamp on.. I just got this a few days ago and I love it!!!

We put Purple up in about two times a week, it has made a huge difference!
