looks good, the only problem i see is the damsels. Are you going to keep them in there or did you get them to like test out if your tank is ready for fish or something like that??

Ya, i cured the rock in a trash can for two weeks while the tank was running with live sand then added the rock waited a few days did a water change. then got the water tested and got the fish. They said it was cycled. do u disagree?

I got my water tested yesterday there was 0 nitrate and nitrite with less than 1 ppm ammonia. I did a water change since then.

everytime i have had my water tested they have been 0. I have got it tested about twice a week since i set it up. Even when i got the water tested from the trash can when i was curing the rock after two days of not changing it they said if that was my tank water it would be cycled. i am looking a test kits right now to have my own kit at my house so i can test whenever i want.

ok, so mabey your tank hasnt started cycling yet, or your LFS's test kits are off, once you get the test kits and see that the trates, trites, and amm. have spiked and fallen back to 0 then you can trade in the damsels (it would be better if you traded them in now, and cycled your tank with a dead shrimp instead), but most of them probley wont live through the cycle

a question about using a dead shrimp... when i started my tank i drained my fresh water, mixed the salt, set up the tank, and dropped in 2 blue damsles the same night.. one is still alive today and the only reason the other one died is because one is a bully... is this abnormal (them living through the cycle)???

YES I disagree, your tank is not cycled. There are alot of threads on here on HOW to cycle a tank, so I will not flame you; just read them.

Fish are not to be used to cycle a tank. It burns their gills. Damsels are mean, period. It may have died from being picked on but may have died from the ammonia spike. What are your parameters? If you don't know, get a test kit. Do not rely on the LFS to tell you. They just want your money as made evident by them selling you the fish in the first place. They die, you buy more. You buy more, they make more money.
I hate most LFS.

I didnt read the whole post so it may have been mentioned already. But good luck catching them when you wanna take them back. (damsels) I still have a 3 stripe in my tank cause i fell for what the LFS said too. Now he's mean as a snake and kills any new additions. I cant catch him without tearing down the whole reef.
