yeah i was thinking about adding one. i just dont really like the ones with the pics of coral and things.

I like your LR ....what kind of lights do you have and how old is the tank?

it is a 24 hour satellite system. just 2x65 watts i would like to upgrade. (that is my next project) it has been running a little over six months.

Just go to Wal-Mart and get plain fabric cut to the exact size; most fabric should be doubled. I just use a piece of duct tape along the entire top edge of the fabric. 1/2 of the tape on the fabric, the other 1/2 along the trim in the back of the tank. Do a neat job, and it is almost as good as a factory color job.

Very dark blue. Funny, I tried everything, hate the store-bought backgrounds too. Of course, the fabric hides cords, HOB filters, skimmers, etc. It is cheap and easy to change too. Be sure your back glass is spotless on the outside and the fabric ironed before you hang it; I'll bet you do what I did...say"Duh", slap myself and wonder why I didn't think of it before"!
