Hey just had a thought, and seeing how I am sensitive impaired, I will probably be headed to Gulf Shores with the wife this weekend for a little "quality time". So here is the question. Can I go to a fish store on this trip or is that gonna put me in the dog house?

hmmm, I think you should be ok.
I think I want a frag of trumpet coral. They have a 4 headed piece for $20 at my LFS. I think I may pick it up.

Green film algae? Or something else? I couldn't turkey baste...it off. But if I touched it, it felt kinda slimey. I am doing a 5 gal water change today and then again tomorrow. I Think I may need to adjust my PHs in the tank. I was sure I was getting flow on everything. maybe some more snails.

it's the green right above the old clam shell. It's on the sand as well and some of the rock.

I am probably wrong but I think that is a cayno problem. If I recall correctly it does appear sometimes in different colors than the normal red color. Again I am probably wrong.

You're wrong
If it was cyano you would be able to blow it off
it may be coraline....it also comes in many colors and also changes

From my experience that is the first color I get all over my tank and it is like a form of coralline, then the pretty coralline starts popping up all over it. I think it is pretty normal.

At least you know the difference between hosting and being hosted. It is not all bad for you.
