I just got a 55g tank and this is my idea of what I want...
-Some species of tang (need recommendations please)
-Coral Beauty
-Two Blue Damsels
-Purple Pseudo
-LMB
-2 Bangai Cards
-Pair of Fiji Tomato clowns
Feel free to give me advise, I need all the help I can get. Thanks

No tangs whatsoever. I've heard the purple pseudo can be very aggressive and know damsels can wreak havoc.

What a yawn tank if you get rid of that much of the inhabinats.Just try a Kole Tang and keep your eyes away from ALL other tangs.

Minus the tang, the list is respectable. Tomato clowns are nasty. Introduce them last. Hopefully you're planning to have a lot of live rock to allow for shelter/grazing.

Thanks guys for the advice. I really like tangs, so I may do a juvenile swap with the LFS. I did this once before with Convict Cichlids. Basically, I will raise a juvenile tang in my tank until it is 4in long, then I trade it in for another baby. And also about the chromises, how many could I fit with the current stock list?

Agreed, I had a damsel for one of my starter fish and it tormented everything I put in the tank after it. It was a huge pain to get out, had to had to take whole tank apart. Maybe will be better if last fish but I will not get another. There are cooler fish anyways.

I kind of like my two damsels. They are both very energetic and very shy towards other tank mates. Neither of them have ever been mean to any other fish, plus they are pretty small and will help cycle the new tank. I really have taken a liking to them, so I may just keep them unless them start acting like normal damsels.

I personally think you shouldn't buy any fish you aren't planning on keeping permanently. It's irresponsible, would you get ride of your dog when it grew out of it's puppy phase. Also, it's not the size of the tang that's important, it's the swimming room, they need the length to flush their gills. If you really want a tank get a bigger tank. It's a hard reality to grasp but it's reality nonetheless.
I wouldn't get the damsels, most people regret it in the end, they are extremely territorial.
Just for comparison in my 55 I have
-Sixline wrasse (awesome fish)
-2 ocellaris clowns
-1 Royal gramma
-1 snowflake eel

who cares get a tang that u want... i would recomend a yellow or regal tang because they tend to be the only juvenile tangs i see. just swap it in one or two years from now. thats wut im doing rite now, i got a 1/2 inch regal tang in a 20 gallon long. been in ther for 2 months now is fine. he will go to my bros tank wen he gets about 1 1/2 but for now hes ther.

Now see, does that sound responsible in any way? I think there is something to be said about being a responsible aquarist and I don't think at tang in a 20g fits in the picture.

Beware of damsels! Mine started off shy and were my favorite fish....for a while! Then the bigger they got, the meaner they got, and the three-stripe ended up killing some of his tank mates. THEN you get to take your tank apart to get them back out again. If you keep agressive fish like the clowns it might be okay--I know the blue ones are very pretty and hard to resist. But be careful in putting peaceful/shy fish in with them. I lost a flasher wrasse and a firefish and I'm pretty sure a percula clown to my damsels.
