Hi Everyone!
I have put up a chronicle of the installation of my new 480 watt PC/MH reflector for my 55g aquarium. Much of you are responsible for the ongoing evolution of this tank so take a look at how things are going and as always, feedback is much appreciated!
The complete set of pictures and commentary is at the URL below:

Here are some sample pix from that page:

Yea, I have to say I was excited about receiving the light kit and I'm even more excited about how nice it has turned out. I can see how half the fun is setting all this stuff up too!
I'm not sure if I can say the place where I got the light setup (I think it's against the board rules?) but I shopped around online and found this place to have the cheapest price. Their website has the word "******* " in it, if you know what I mean.
However, in fairness to our host OFS (hey, has anybody used that anagram yet? Online Fish Store..) I will probably order some products from saltwaterfish.com as well. However at this time I have 2 snails that are consuming everything in the tank at an alarming rate! I got 2 snails from the cult LFS and they gave me these HUGE suckers that are amazing, probably too big for my tank but certainly efficient.
The last few days have had me purchasing and painting the matching stand to my canopy (I purchased the unfinished canopy but did the light fixture installation myself). It looks pretty good - I'll be posting some pictures of that too.
At this rate, I think I'll be able to chronicle the entire evolution of the tank. In just a few weeks it has changed dramatically, going from a 55g UGF saltwater tank with 3 live rocks it in, to as it is now, a DSB/plenum setup with about 65 pounds of Fiji live rock and 55 pounds of Key West live sand.
Stay tuned for more! I'm definitely enjoying this and I'm also really enjoying the feedback I'm getting from everybody.
