my 75 ray diary

ok. im starting the 75 once again. i first had FOWLR but tore it down to move the tank to the basement and now im setting it back up only to do maybe 2 rays and a scool of banner cardinals i recently purchased my sump and stand becuz the old one was crap

but ijust had the tank drilled and im now needing to run to the store for pvc glue and some teflon tape. i will be posting pictures shortly. and one question...would it be ok to run a protein skimmer in with them? i no rays a pretty delicate so i was wondering if i should throw my previous skimmer on? thanks

here are the pics of the tank so far.

here is the sump that i am going to be using. there was a filter sock on it that i removed and there is also a sponge in it that i have not removed yet but i will not be running either of those. i have the skimmer set in there for now but not sure if i will actually use it. the only think that i will for sure have in my sump is live rock right now. here are those pics, one from the left side and one from the right.

for now im starting with a round ray that i have been looking at. its about 5 inches across so i was going to raise him until i upgrade to my next purchase of a 220
