this is gonna be where I stick pictures of my 75G from now on. I'm not gonna call it a journal, this more of a lets see if I can improve my picture quality thread.
Thanks and enjoy the panorama of crappy yet hopefully improving pictures that are about to deluge forthwith.

the title says it all.
ok so I slipped in one pic of my 55g angel tank but it is a picture, its weird I can get a great picture of that with no problem but not my 75. I am not sure why.

I've noticed that the pictures that are a little blurry when taken look quite a bit worse when resized. just a random observation.

I dont have a tripod but I try to brace my camera against things, the glass, a wall, top of a chair, stuff like that, I definalty get better pictures, when I do that especially at lower ISO speeds. of course at higher ISO speeds the picture qyuality drops anyways because of the fast shutter speed.

I love your tank, most especially your rock. How did you put the rock together? Is it braced against the back wall of your tank, or glued together? Right now mine is neither, and IMO is too tightly packed. I'd like to make it a little more open, but I'm not sure how to safely go about doing that.

the base is freestanding. I scoop the sand out of the way and set the rock as close to the glass as possible and push the sand back around it. I also use the biggest rocks I have for the main base pieces. then everything else is just stacked trial and error style I try to put a rock where I want it and keep moving it aroung untill it stays put. the wall of rock is actually tipped back kind of like this but not quite as steep that way the stuff at the bottom of the rocks gets light too. the rocks on top some are braced against the glass some arent I try to keep some room back there for swimming and water flow. I'm never completly satisfied with my arrangments so I re arrange pretty often, I was actually thinking about moving some stuff around today just to have something different to take pictures of.

Since you change it periodically, I assume the fish don't mind? It doesn't stress them out? I've been wanting to change things, but I've been afraid of "upsetting everyone". It's supposed to be a rainy weekend...maybe that's what I'll do...play in my tank!

I spend so much time in my tank it doesnt bother my fish thay have grown accustomed to my presence, my algae blenny eats out of my fingers, if my hand isnt moving sometimes he'll perch on it. the only fish it ticks off is my female tomatoe clown who attacks me the first couple of minutes I'm in the tank then she ignores me unless I go near her leather.

Very nice!
Have you ever thought of adding a 'background' to the salt tank? Might help provide 'depth' unless you view it from each side.
Very happy inhabitants.
I'm diggin' the frog (No pun intended)

I use zoo med 5500k daylights, and use first layer brand laterite under the substrate to provide nutrients, I also do not gravel siphon often so I dont damage the roots, when I do I dont shove it down to the glass, I also look up from under the tank to see where the most roots are and avoid them. I hate the look of the white gravel but my girlfriend wanted to keep it. I was using leafzone fertilizer but stopped because everytime I used it within a week my fish came down with a fungus or bacterial infection. I have a wet dry for fiiltration as well as a aqua clear 60 hob filter. other than that I just let the plants do their thing.

here is some more I think I'm starting to get a hold of this camera, I am limited on quality due to the crappyness of the camera but I'm getting close to decent pictures.
