I have decided to jump on board and post some pics of my 75 gallon. It is just over a year old, but really has come to life over the past 4 months...finally! This is my first saltwater tank, I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. Please note that I am a poor UW student, and rarely have extra money to invest in my tank (otherwise I would have way more coral). I usually can scrape up enough money though, to buy about one new coral a month...so slowly but surly my tank is coming together (which is a good thing).
Also notice my sebae anemone. When I first purchased it was bleach white, but after about two weeks turned brown??? Overall, though it is healthy and has a good apatite when spot fed weekly.
My equipment includes: 560 watt Current Outer Orbit lighting with two 150w. 14k. HQI metal halides and two 130w. PC., CPR duel backpack protein skimmer, Cascade 1200 canister filter, and Rio 1400 power head.
My live stock include:
Fish) Bicolor Angel (who has never nipped my coral!), Shrimp Goby, Sixline Wrasse, False Clown, Strawberry Gramma
Inverts) Sebae Anemone, Cleaner Shrimp, Bristle Star, Emerald Crab, Featherduster, various Hermits and Snails
Corals) Mushrooms, Zoas/Polyps, Hammer, Xenia
Let me know what you think good or bad. Also my tank wouldn't be where it is without a lot of your (saltwater fish.com board members) help, so I just wanted to say THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!
