Well I know that I am in Cycle now.
Ammonia is 0.25 to 0.50
PH is 8.5
Nitrate is 0
Nitrite is 0
Ca is low
SG is 1.26
with a 120g tank a 5% wc should suffice with 6gallons. changed. Or would you all suggest a full 10%?

water changes help lower nitrates. wait for the ammonia to convert to nitrite and then nitrates, then do your water change. it will help build up bacteria. don't let it get too high, though.

Really? Tank has been up for 1 week. I have the water in the Bin ready for the water change.
So Wait you suggest huh? Well i can't argue what I don't know, so I will follow your advice. Thank you.
BTW what would you consider too high? Just as an FYI to me so I know what not to pass

if it starts to get near 1 that is to high but yes i agree with eric wait till ammonia spikes and falls then nitrite the same and then trates will spike. Water change comes after trates spike. to lower them and in that case i would say 10% -25% change would be better to get the trates down so you can add some stuff. Not to much stuff though.
