My BTA....now Three.

Here are some shots of our BTA. It split into three a month or so ago and all three are doing great and healing nicely. They are all located in spots where it is hard to get a good picture of each but these will give you an idea of how they are doing.

They all get their fair share of rubs between the female and male clown. They mainly stay in the bigger "parent" one but will swim from one to the other all the time.

Wow, grats.
You are very lucky, most of the time one of the three will die. Splitting in two is normal and has a higher success rate. Normally when one splits three ways one of the pieces does not have all the parts neccessary to survive.

Im not saying your wrong, Just wondering where you got that from. My bta split into 3 sections over a month ago and all 3 have healed up and are feeding and growing and are very healthy.....

Just an observation, I notice that when an anemone splits 3 ways there seems to be alot more chance of one piece not developing into a full anemone. The way they split often doesn't leave one of the three pieces with much to work with. I also notice most 3way splits are caused from stress, that could play into the equation also.
I really love the color of green in this one, if any of it moves into more direct view I hope some new pictures will be taken.

I'm using a CSS 65. I had to do a little DIY pipe work to make it work but it is pulling some good scum. I'm happy with the CSS 65 and what it has been pulling. If you are looking for a skimmer for your Nano it is worth considering.

Ive been waiting for mine to split, its been growing larger for about a month and a half, growing tons of new tenacles, making them longer, growing larger period. What are the symptoms of a splitting anemone?
