my camera

I cant seem to take good pics with the camera I have. I can take pics with the ligts off using flash, but only thinkgs on the front glass and no zooming.
I want to take pics no flash right against the glass but I cant get my camera to focus. Any tips??

mine is broken so I am using my moms Kodak camera. Idk what kind but it is some kind or Kodak
