My candy cane is dying?

I need some help. The bicolor candy cane which I bought last week have some problems. The cover of one head's brown part is gradually disappeared. Today I find the head next to it has the same problem. Its brown cover disappears starting from the bottom.
What's wrong with it? What should I do? Is it dying?

pics would be great also what else is in the tank? any fish that may be nipping at it?
