This morning we couldn't find one of our true percula clowns. We looked everywhere in the tank. When we looked in back of the tank where the filter and pump are, she was there swimming around.
How could this happen? Don't understand how she could have jumped. Is this common?
Please advice,
Marguerite

A lot of smaller fish like clowns and some gobies are known to be jumpers. You should cover the back of the tank where he/she jumped out because next time you may not be as lucky. :)

Clowns love to jump - not sure why - but I've had several over hte years and my latest pair seem to be pretty stable but the male jumps up when I feed them. I'm using some black felt to cover the open areas across the back of the tank. Heavy and is easy to cut to mold around the few open spaces I have!
