hi all!
hmmm.. ok.. maybe I'm being a bit dramatic...
anyways.. here is a pic of my dwarf coral beauty:
I have observed him, over the past few weeks, to be imitating a behaviour of the christmas wrasse.. ie.. rubbing himself on the hard coral and rock. He seems to have rubbed himself..er.. herself.. er.. nevermind.. a bit raw.. so much so as to have taken some flesh and part of his fin off. I haven't witnessed any tank aggression between the other fishies (tang, damsel, clown, wrase) so I don't think it is from that..
what is it and what can I do (I don't have another tank to isolate/medicate!)
water quality good (was tested a week ago):
temp 76
salinity 21
calcium 415
phosphates 0.7
nitrate 30
did a 1/3 water change.. added 250 mg c-chem phos remover
all fish and corals healthy
coral beauty was added with wrasse at Christmastime
see my sig for all the other shtuff!
thanks
Kerry
