My Cowfish's Eye

Today I noticed that my longhorn cowfish's eye was a little cloudy. It looks a little swollen too. Does anyone know what's going on?

is it only one eye? IME, popeye has afected both eyes.
maybe he bumped it. what are your readings for amm, trites, and trates...tank size? how big is the fish?

Whatever the cause of the injury is, you should try to prevent a bacterial infection. I would transfer him to a quarantine tank (without causing too much stress), and treat him with some antibiotics (could be broad-spectrum or disease-specific). Also make sure to give him vitamin-enriched food, too!

It can affect one eye or both eyes.
Tselios - The first thing you can do is to post some water paramiters. Also tell us about your tank and other fishmates. Is this fish getting picked on in any way, showing any odd behavior?
If it is popeye then you need to start a good, aged, water change of about 30%.
If it is truly infected then you need to have a QT tank ready.
