My decorator crab lost its mind

My decorator crab has cut my clove polyps and attached them to himself. The question is since the clove polyp has not reopened will it live? Or has this crab killed it? It happened last night so this is a new issue. I have never seen this before so even a seasoned hobbyist runs into something new.

Did he actually cut them or if he hasn't, it is probably fine since decorator crabs do kind of stuff with anmomees(excuse the spelling) in the wild

which clove polyp? the main ones or the ones on his back?
ALso do you like him? was thinking about getting one but don't think they;re safe with shrimp

Well time is answering this on its own. The Polyps are doing fine and the crab is fine as well. To answer the question on wether I like him or not very much so. Also he is reef safe and no problems with shrimp. Also fun fact since I live in SWFL these are very available at the beach. I have several in my tank.
