just found my diamond goby has passed away. lived happy for three and a half years digging in his sand bed but over the passed few weeks he began to thin down. even with trying to stuff him each day the grim fish reaper came for him
. he did a great job keeping my sand bed clean but I am not getting another one. I know they can be hard to keep as they normally feed on the pods in the sand bed so mine needs some time to rebuild its population. I would like to get a good bottom dweller to replace him how ever.
well my tank is a 110g and I have a three inch sand bed. so I am looking at a jaw fish or a banded eel.
I would like to go with the banded eel but I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews. some saying a 50g tank is fine some saying a 180g. that they are easy to take care of and eat frozen krill or silver sides or that they are hard to keep and enjoy live grass shrimp.
so any how dose any one have a banded eel that can give me some more info? or would a jaw fish or some other sand dweller be a better choice?
