I've been using these for years on my tanks. I use to turn off the sump manually so I wouldn't lose food. After a few times of forgetting to turn it back on after phyto dosing I made this....
It's always on, then when you turn the knob to whatever time it turns the sump pump off, it counts down and then turns back on automatically.
I should find the original version. It was scary ugly looking
