My eel got a twitch!!!!

My sfl, about 15'', has been twitching for about a week. Today he started rubbing his face against the rock, I guess he's scratching. Why? Should I be worried????!?!?

twitching usually is a sign of ich or another parasite that is bothering the eel. do you have any other fish in with the SFE that are showing signs of ich?

Although eels are more resistant to parasites like ich, they can still get them, especially around the gill/head area. That's exactly what it sounds like to me. What do your parameters look like?
