I just wanted to share my first pics of my clown and his new buddy! I bought this bubble tip anemone (that is what it is right?) yesterday in less than 4 hours they were good friends. Well, at least the clown is fond of his condo!
I am a bit concerned that the clown is going to wear out the anemone though since he just wont leave it alone. Is this going to be ok?

Nice pics. Congrats on getting the clown to host so soon. My clarki did the same thing and hosted in no time.

Our clowns went to their anenome pretty quick. We once had a skunk clown fish and she really did wear them out. She was extremely aggressive with it. We were told she had mental problems (Ha!) since her mate was sold out from under her. We never saw that kind of behaviour again.

Butters the fish has successfully thrown sand all over the entire tank trying to clear the sand away from the bottom of his condo, and i think my coral beauty is now got the sand stuck all over his head. What a chump!
I am happy though that the anemone has found a happy spot that is clear from the corals.
Once they find a place in the tank do the generally stay put or can I expect him to continue to scoot (that’s for you inmate Libby) around the tank?

somewhere between 2-4 hours. I wasn't home for it. when i got home he was smitten with his new buddy!
Today though (day 5ish) the anemone was face down in the sand. I propped him up on a rock again and he has taken hold again but i was a bit worried about him. He seems ok now.

He still seems happy. He has been on a journey the last few nights moving around the tank. I sorted a few rocks around tonight trying to make him happy but who knows... I don't think he is very smart.
I also watched him do his 'business' tonight for the first time. I think that is what was going on at least. It was squirting this milky fluid out of his mouth and then he went 'flat'.
For everybody who has a BTA do you find that they are happy on the side of a rock? on top of a flat rock? in a crevis? High, medium or low light? Just wondering? also, will he be a problem if he bumps into a Xenia or a Flower pot?
Ok, that is only about a hundred questions!
Thanks for help anybody!

ohh yeah, my clown has tried to feed him a small piece of shrimp i put in the tank and he dropped it into the anemone but the clown kept taking it out and moving it so the anemone never got a chance to eat it. Should I restrain the clown somehow while the anemone eats?

I hate to say but i am not sure. The LFS thought they were not wild cought. I try to avoid that for moral issues...
My clown is a yellow striped clown.
