Its a 55g, been up and running for 6months, kind of bare right now, still learning and would rather take it slow then overload and mess things up ;)
Sorry about all the white dots, i think they are pods? (curly white round things w/ almost red feather duster like things coming out of them

My Mushroom (i think) I got for FREE w./ the LR i bought the other day. The guy @ the LFS couldnt get him off, and didnt want to hurt him trying so he threw him in for free

heres some plants that started growing in the tank shortly after I set it up(anyone know what they are?), hopefully nothing bad ;) if you look closely @ the upper left corner, you'll see a few red dots, that is the fibre optic "thing" that came attached to my LR. He's really cool, doesnt move from that spot. Will try to get a better pic of him, but its really hard to focus on him.

And finally a decent pic of the "thing" i have been trying to get an ID on, theres a few of them on my LR, no idea What it is...

My maroon clown

PS if i Mis-ID-ed anything, please forgive me, I'm still a NooB ')

when its spread out evenly, its about as thick as it is in the pic on the far right, the clown likes to "relandscape", he bacls up and fans his tail mving the sand so he can swim under my LR
. When I was reading uo before I set the tank up, I read that a "deep" sandbed was good for reef tanks, however i couldnt find how deep to make it, and i figured it was always good to put a little extra in, and if it was too much, it would be easier to take it out than to add more later...

Plant is fine actually IMO it adds a nice touch to the astehetics of your tank. Its a type of plant algea but I forget the name. I had a bunch of it in my tank and I moved it into my fuge but I left some pieces like you have stuck on my LR. Not that you have alot of it but live plants also help absorb nitrates.
Those curled up tubes on your glass are a type of small filter feeding hard tube worm. The ones that have the red duster comming out of them are the same too. A hard tube worm, like a cocoa worm just not as big and they dont get as big either. Pretty much the size you have them.

The little white curly things are Spirobid worms, they are usually a sign that a new tank is healthy. After a while they kinda go away
The green plant is called Halimeda, it's a hard calcium based plant that few fish will bother. It'll suck the calcium out of your system and reach a point where it will no longer grow once the calcium is depleated. Non-invasive, IMO a great plant for tanks, very colorful, just test your calcium and use an additive as needed. Congrats on the new tank and for taking it slow and steady

Thanks,
I figured if it was something really bad someone would've chimed in by now, so I'll just keep an eye on it, but not worry too much...
