My first Pics

This is my first saltwater tank, it has been up for 7 months. For fish I have a Kole tang, a tomato clown, a green chromis, and then I have a small clean up crew of some snails, blue legged hermits, 3 peppermint shrimp, and a conch. I just bought my first two corals in the past week, some mushrooms, and a button polyp rock that I couldnt pass up. I know I need some more lr, and the fake coral things in the front need to go, but they have algae all over them and my tang loves it, so I feel bad taking it away right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! And thanks to everyone for helping me getting it up and running! :D

was wondering how these look, they dont look as good as in the fishstore but i think thats bc they had halides...

Yea he might be going back to the fishstore, but for now he is doing great. He actually didnt look too great when I got him, after he got home he was very lathargic, didnt swim too much, but now he's all over the place, loves going in and out of the rocks I have. So I'm not sure, I only had a chromis and a tomato clown, so that was like 2 inches of fish, so I thoguht it would be ok. All my levels are good, so for now I think he will stay, hopefully I'll be movin on up to a new bigger tank again soon. :)

anyway- what kind of light is that and why does it look different than some of the other ones? (by this, i mean its raised up... what does that do?)
I ask because I am thinking about buying a tank from someone who has one like this, but I haven't seen the tank in person and ive nver seen it like this before...:confused:

:D Yay thanks alot! That made my day! Someone likes it! hahah, well those are the Aqualights Delux by Coralife. They are 130 watts, with 50/50 bulbs in them. I bought them on ----, for $126 shipped, much cheaper than any of my lfs that wanted them for $200. The things that hold them up are the mounting legs. They pretty much just keep it off the water to keep it cooler, and to prevent water from splashing up on them. I also have a glass hood over it, but I broke it the other day, so I think I might just take it off. Thanks so much for the compliments!! :joy:

My brother and I both got sltwr tnks. weve both also have mushrooms. He raised the calcium lev in his 20gal. boy they
streched out and opened. brighter will be great.:D
