hello i have a 20 gallon tank that we set up 3 and a half weeks ago. we used sand from the beach behind our house and water from the ocean and opps grabbed some live rocks that we didn't know was illegal and some shells that we picked up when we first moved here. the water was only cloudy for about 3 days and we had some film of algea covering the glass so we bought 1 blue damsel, 1 yellow tail damsel, 1 peppermint shrimp, 5 hermit crabs, 3 blue and 2 red. I think we may have jumped the gun so to speak on the livestock but being our first swa i hope it wasn't a really big opps! :notsure: anyway i'll get some pic's soon. oh BTW, what are all the little white worms that are floating around ?????? our fish love them what ever they are:happyfish

Yikes, water from the ocean! Where I live the water is so poluted the damnsel would be that three-eyed fish that lives by the nuclear reactor in The Simpsons.
What are your amonia levels at the moment?

That is alot of stuff to throw in a new tank.
I dont think I would use real seawater unless it was really really filtered or you have the cleanest water ever.
Your tank is still going to cycle and you may loose some livestock
