My fish has a white spot, help!

My sebae clown has a white spot on one of its swimming fins, many people say its hand. It's not on the fin, it's like on top of the fin. If you look at the fin from the side you'll see there is a white spot on top of the fin. If you look at it from the top you'll see the white spot. He has been scratching himself to the glass, and rocks sometimes, most of the time to the glass and powerheads. He has been going to the doctor, aka cleaner shrimp, more often than he normaly does. What does he have? What can I cure it with? Simply garlic?
Water parameters:
Ph 8.2
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 20
sg 1.024
temp 78-80
Thanks,

It is likely just a solidary parasite, but keep a very close eye on it to make sure it doesn't develop into a full blown disease process---like ick.
Additionally, you can feed him food soaked in garlic. Garlic is a parasite repellent and has a mild antibiotic quality to it.

Sebae, be careful,my yellow tang had exactly what you are decribing and we did a freshwater dip on it and then it disappeared and now I've got full blown ich problem 3 fish and wondering what to do. Duh, I didn't realize this forum was here so I'm going to post in here.

DAB thank for the reminder. I'll be careful with what my fish has. Good luck with your tang.
Beth, this garlic thing, I bought liquid garlic from local groceries store. This works fine, right?
Btw, the white spot is gone now. I don't know, I will keep my eye on him still.
