My football prayers

I don't know if there is an NFL divine entity, but I guess this can't hurt...
I am tired of my Sundays being constantly ruined by my local team, the Lions. They have been the worst team in football over the last decade. They haven't won a championiship since 1957, never won a superbowl and have only won 1 playoff game in my lifetime.

In the '90's, we were frustrated about constant 8-8 or 9-7 seasons that generally ended with first round playoff blowouts. Now, our most optimism is that we get our first round pick right (usually in the top 5 picks).
Please let someone in the organization know that Matt Millen is the only NFL President EVER to lose this many games yet keep his job. Please suggest to ownership that it is time to write a blank check to Bill Parcells to come in and be the President of Operations. Please have them write another blank check to Bill Cowher to come in and coach these guys. Let Cowher and Parcells know that we, in this area, will give them keys to the city if they will come to be our messiahs. I personally will wash their cars weekly and my wife will do their laundry.
This is my NFL prayer.

Matt Millen is a joke, he is not fit to manage a fantasy team let alone an NFL team...He must have dirt on your owner to have kept his job.
The great Jon Kitna deserves a better team.

he should have stayed with his dream of being an NFL official... he has single handedly ruined atleast 4 of the best WRs to come out of college...

4??? I can think of one... Calvin Johnson... and that's not even a sure thing yet. Roy Williams is a step below elite level. Charles Rogers and Mike William were wastes of space... neither is in the NFL. He didn't ruin them. He just made poor choices.

Mike Williams ran the 40 in 4.63, that's not 6th (or whatever he was) pick in the draft material for a wideout no matter how good your hands are. Rogers was just kind of a pansy, no?

Rogers had a reputation, even going back to Michigan State, of being a dumb stoner who couldn't remember his routes. A couple early injuries that kept him out 2+ seasons and poor work ethic... say goodnight.
Mike Williams would have been much better as a tight end but he doesn't like blocking. I wouldn't go so far as to call him FAT
but he won't exactly turn away a bag of pork rinds.

Charles Rogers was just a glass figure. That guy was injury prone so his career failed pretty much after smoking too much weed and getting lazy.
Mike Williams lmao! I couldn't believe they were that stupid to pick that fat lard lol. I think the stupid lions got sucked in by annoying Michael Irvin's praise for the guy lol. What a Joke that guy was. Then again I'm also pissed my Broncos actually drafted that loser running back from ohio state.

Mike Williams was a stud at USC. I remember him torching U of M in the Rose Bowl the year before he came out. The year off killed him though.

I think they either have to franchise him or trade him. There is no way that you can let him go for nothing and you have to realize that he wouldn't re-sign here without being disgustingly overpaid anyway. So what other options do you have?

is Millen smart enough to do that though... (that is what i am implying)...
Millen will either be supremely confident that he will resign here, only to lose him in free agency and then draft another 1st round receiver, OR he will make him the highest paid receiver in the game and have to cut payroll on the offensive and defensive lines.

Just kill me now. The first 4 games were supposed to be the easiest part of this schedule. We are now 0-3 with 3 blowouts to terrible teams. I was predicting 5 wins before the seasons started. Now I think that number needs to be cut in half.

I think I need to pick another team to watch on Sundays. Maybe New Orleans or San Diego will be my new team. GO SAINTS!!
