Finally got my seahorse. A beautiful male. I haven't named him yet, maybe .... Aiptasia Killer!! He ate one. It hasn't hurt him in any way, he loves his ghost shrimps. He squeezes into crevices to hunt them.

Is your new horse h-erectus? And he ate an aptaisia? Wow. I don't really know that much about ghost shrimp feeding, those are live, aren't they? Is your horse CB? Just wondering. He's very beautiful and very healthy looking!! How long have you had him? Does he have any companions? Ugh, there I go again...I always do this questions, questions thing...
Have you named him?

He is a Mustang (H. Erectus) and is captive breed. He is approx. 4 inches from crown to tail tip. His coloring is actually black and white with yellow tips along his back down his tail and whitish/blue tips from head to back. I have had him for only 4 days now. He does eat mysis shrimp, but the store advised to give him the ghosts so he can adjust to a new tank on a full stomach. He sounds like a mantis shrimp when he flips his tongue out to catch the ghost shrimp. ping ping
He was hunting when he grabbed the aiptasia. He looked like he had a mouth full of red hay. Before I could grab my twizzers and get it from him he had swallowed it.
I am not going to get a companion for awhile. I want to make sure I do everything right with this guy. I have researched, but there is always the unknown.
Maybe I'll name him Orion for the hunter. What do ya think???
Any extra advice is always welcome.
