My Hippo tang is eating the hair algae

Is this good for him? He seems to graze all day, just want to make sure that this won't plug him up...
Anyone every had any experience with this?

thats what theyre supposed to do its perfectly normal. all tangs graze on the algea which is founs on the rocks glass and even the sand. tangs are herbivores so theyre supposed to eat plant matter although they eat meat to i would consider them omnivores but most sites call them herbivores.

I guess i never had hair algae until i moved and discovered the phosphate problem with the water, so i never had my tang eating hair algae. It does help out in ridding the nasty looking stuff.
