My Indestructible Knobby Star

OK, I probably shouldn't be posting this, but I am shocked this star is alive:

It has 4 legs and it has been through hell and back. It has survived 3 trips to the MP 10 motel, 6 trips to the sebae's mouth, and numerous beatings from my lemon peel. By all logic, this starfish should be dead. I have thought many times that I would not see it again and it reappears the next day. It has lost 2 legs, but appears to be regenerating them. I know it is not healthy looking, but I am amazed its still alive.

I belive these aren't reef safe.
A small specimen will eat algae. As it grows older, however, it is not reef compatible, as it will eat soft corals, sponges, tubeworms, clams, starfish, and other invertebrates.
So don'tblame the angels they where trying to protect your tank!
