My lighting for Clams

I just got my new lighting for my tank (47 gallon tall-30" deep). Now, I am running a Nova Extreme T5 HO@96 watts and my new 20" Sunpod HQI @ 250 watts. Total of 346 watts.
Can I keep any type of clam at the bottom of my tank (sand bed)?

GOOD LIGHTING!, I dont think you can limit yourself, especially with the halides!

A 250W HQI should penetrate just fine. HQI only have a 2' area of lighting, so make sure your clam is within this radius.

I'm in great shape with that, seeing how my tank's footprint is about 2'X2'.

generally clams dont do well under power compacts. you might be able to keep a squamosa or derasa depending on how much light you have.
