my lil nano

thought i should join the nano guys since im already in the big boy club lol.
well heres the start of my lil nano..
will be doing water changes instead of running a skimmer..
going to be running carbon 24/7 (whisperfilter).
as for lights i just got in my new 20 inch nova extreme pro.
heres some pics!
the last two pics are just 2 blues running.

very nice start! i have the same lights and i love them!! how many gallons and how long has it been running for? also what are your plans for the tank?
 
its about 8 gals.. im thinking of doing a ric or zoa gardon on the ground and im not sure about what to put on the rocks.. have you tryed sps with your lights yet? thanks for the kind words.

that would be sick, i havnt done any coral in my tank its been rough so far, but sps will do amazing under those lights, pretty much everthing other than clams would do good. i have heard clams need mh but your tank is kind of small for a good size clams anyways.

dont need mh for clams that light on that small of a tank will almost burn softies thats alot of light thats enough light for a 20g haha. but that tank would look amazing with all sps

i agree that, that much light is over kill on that small of a tank and if you do get softies put them on the bottom, you could also just take out 2 of the lights and it would still be pretty strong for that tank. i have just asked around and i always seem to hear that clams need mh's

clams are more basic than everyone thinks my girlfriend bought a clam for here 20g with pc and it did fine and now i have it in the bottom of my 90g with 8x85w t5
