My Little Clown Needs Help!

It looks like it has a white dot on its chin and another one on its fin. Does a fresh water dip help? He is the only fish in my tank with 2 hermit crabs and a cleaner shrimp. I think the safest thing to do is a fresh water dip. How long can I leave it in the fresh water? Please help!!!

Is this a new fish? Does he have ich?

IF the salinity drops in the tank to treat the ich, will it harm the shrimp, snails and crabs in the tank?

I'm afraid so. To do hyposalinity, you can not have LR, inverts, corals. Is it ich?

Since it only has two little white dots, can garlic help? I just got the fish yesterday and hate to put him in treatment to further the shock. Will it help at all if I put some garlic in the food?

It may help. Use fresh garlic glove, mince, retaining the juices and then soak your meaty fish food in the garlic for 20 minutes in the fridge before offering it to your fish. Do this 3x a day.
Also, start thinking of the alternative if that doesn't work.
