My Mushroom is shrinking

its actually growing smaller, i know my lighting is pretty low but i heard these mushrooms eat but i cant get it to eat.... any ideas?

I have the same kind in my tank and somedays they just seem to shrink and I think they are sick or something but a couple days later they are great again. I test my water every time and I get the same results as when they are bigger. So I really don't know.

also some start looking pretty crappy just before the splitt. I would just keep an eye on it the next few days.also from time to time the will shrivel up like theres something wrong even though there isnt,

for my shrooms i feed them by giving them little brine shrimp near their mouth and they just push it in and eat it.

I couldn't even imagine trying to hand feed each of my shrooms.

yeah, i found it weird trying to feed my mushroom but i heard this type actually eats, as for me, i tried and failed, it did not close and the shrimp kept on stealing it....... shrimp always steals even though theres brine floating everywhere

if you are feeding brine shrimp it is more than likely catching what it wants and leaveing the rest to float into the water colum. it will only take as much as it wants too at anytime. for larger shrooms I usta take a peice of krill and it would pull it into its mouth like an anemone does eat what it wanted of it and let what was left to rest to float away.

haha sry for the confusion. No i do not hand feed each srhoom. just shoot em with brine and they catch pieces and eat them.

thanks for the help guys, it still doesnt catch anything or if it did the cleaner would steal it, i moved up the rock closer to the light and now its as big as when i brought it home

the food has to be no bigger than the mouth, and wait till they close up with the food right on their mouth and they will take it.. Some times they look like they are getting smaller before they grow or multiply... or check your water, good alk,and cal, and strontium and iodine, is what i use for mine and a skimmer... I have a lot of srhmms!!!!!!!!!!!!
