My name is tracklighter, and I don't have a qt

Confession: I didn't quarantine my new firefish.
I have a 29 gallon Reef tank with 60 lbs of LR, 30 lbs of LS, tons of stuff on the LR. Only coral are button polyps. Only other fish is a small false perc.
I bought a couple small firefish about 3 days ago. I noticed one of them has ich like white spots and was 'scratching' against the rocks.
Now I don't see the sick one, and the other is starting to get spots.
I wasn't able to catch the little fellas due to the LR.
Question:
Is my false perc likely to get the ich, and if it does is my tank forever doomed (meaning will it have the ich spores forever)?

So,
Does that mean that even if the false perc does not show visible signs of the disease, that the disease will still be in the fish?
Sort of like the herpes virus, whereby it is still present just not visible?
Worst Case Scenario:
Say the fish die, will the disease still be in the tank? And if so, for how long?

Tracklighter, I'm just as guilty as you (no QT). One of my fish has something...I thought it might be ick, but it couldh ave been some random parasite as the symptoms didn't fit to a T. Anyway, I did dip the fish in FW and a melchite green solution for 2 minutes (wtaching carefully for signs of distress), I then dipped it in a bucket with water from the tank for a minute and then put her back. She's been OK since. I did then put in Stress Coat, as she did look like she had some damages spots on her (although the white bump and cottony looking stuff that I took her out for was gone). I then lowered the salinity in the tank some, but not out of range (1.024 to 1.020) and started the garlic. So far...so good. Without a QT you may also want to dip new fish before adding them to the tank, in a FW and Methelyne Blue solution as a preventative measure.
