well here is my new nano, still looking for a couple small things to put in it, sorry will get better pics soon when the water clears up and everything is more opened. all i have in there for livestock is 2 peperment shrimp, a yellow tail damsle, and random crabs and snails. lighting is a 10k 55w pc and im planning on getting another 55w pc actinic for it within a couple days. for filtration its just a crappy canister and a 3 gallon or so hob fuge. hood is homeade 10 min. crappyness and untell i get my stand back from a friend its on a wooden footstool like thing. spare of the moment nano just because. and i wanted to clear up some room in my 75 because i want to downsize to a 40gallon or so (yeah thats quite a big downsize) so alot of the cool stuff went into this.:happyfish

whats the hieght of the tank and the lighting?
what corals do you have?

lol a lowrider, the top of the tank is 23 inches and the lights are at 28. lol about the phone i just got off of it and the person i was talking to wanted me to post pics. well for corals i got assorted zoos, assorted polyps, green brain, finger leather, like 7 green brown ricodias, one white recordia, couple green strip schrooms, and a dozen or so red ones. i think thats about it. oh yeah also a toadstool leather. more to come! i hope

well I told you i would post more as it came along so here it is, nothing new for livestock exept for a ricordia and a couple more snails. but the everything was starting to look better tell i had to fine tune things, leathers dont like to be touched as you can tell by looking at the finger leather. but he will settle down in a couple days and be big agen. but today i added a 55w pc 12000k actinic to acomodate my other 55w 10000k bulb. sorry little damsil but your blind now. hoping all keeps going well and i gan get a new canopy and stand really soon. tell my what you think of the new pics. one is of the whole tank with new lights, another is the brain with the damsil next to it to show size, and the other one is just some polyps, toadstool leather, red schrooms, cabbage leather, zoos, a crab and whatever else if they show up.

dang that extra light sure makes it bright in there. The top of the tank comes up to my knee so you almost have to lay down to look at it, lol. That looks alot better than yesterday man. Im still looking for the metal stand, either that or Im going to tear that crappy 10 gallon fresh water tank down and then you can have your stand.

wow, i can belive how nicly this tank is progressing,i got a couple more aditions today, some frog spawn, frag of monti cup, and some more zoos that looksweet under my lighting, and a couple yellow polyps, lol and a little blue schroom. ill get pics agen when everything isnt angy agen. i really need to quit doing that. everything should be happy and grow nicly undet this lighting.

lol, 3 days. but all the water and the live sand and live rock came out of my 75 gallon reef because im going to need the room because im downsizing to a 40 gallon. most of the corals are from the 75 also but i have gotten new aditions also. EVERYONE if you have a sugestion letme know. or if you just want to know somthing thats cool too.

did your tank cycle at all or did it not spike cuz all the stuff is out of your 75
also i'm putting up a 75 can you tell me an overview of your setup

well i have always wanted to start up a nano but never the extra lights for it but now that i am downsizing i had come extra lighing that needed to be put to use. soi figure now i will have 2 nicly stocked tanks. sorry but because of that there will be no giving away of corals lmao.
no cycleing , no spike of any sort because of all the stuff being recycled from another tank.
my 75 was simple, it had a 15 gallon homemade sump with like a 900 gph pump, then like 2 or 3 poerheads, then a crp backpack protine skimmer. also around 300 watts of pc bulbs, 2 96 watt 50/50's, then 2 55watt 10000k's. i think that was it. fairly simple. if you need to know more about it message me on yahoo messanger SN:wesley_mccrea or AOL instant messager SN: dysfunksanal

on my 20 i just have a whisper 40 hob filter and my tank has been cycled for almost 2 weeks and i have 0 algae aside from the initial surge after the cycle.
i plan to get a bakpak2 skimmer
i have 130 watts of lighting and a large cleanup crew... hope that helps some.

for filtration i have a merlin 30 canister (i think thats what it is) and a 3 gallon HOB fuge, I hope to soon make a homeade protien skimmer but I don't have anything now.
