Well,
After spending so much time stripping, sanding, staining, and finishing my tank and stand, I figured I would post some pics to see what everyone thinks.
I bought it on ---- used, so here's the before:

It's going to be a reef tank.... eventually.
I've got a 55g with lots of live rock that will be moving over soon.
The plates are from an undergravel filter that was part of the deal. Those things were in the trash the first night I got home.

Very nice! Here's ours with minwax - red oak. Lighter but they are both pretty. I totally understand how much work you went through with that havin just done it ourselves (except hubby built ours ground up)
