My new book!

I can't wait! I should be getting my copy of "The Conscienctous Marine Aquarist" in the mail today! I had to order the little bugger cus none of the bookstores near me had it. :rolleyes: Hopefully it will have been worth the wait...from listening to you all rave about it, I'm sure it is. It will be the first book I've read since...lol, I don't remember the last book I read. As much as I wanna GET STARTED, I know I have to read the book first. Hopefully it will answer my many (MANY) questions.

Very very good book, tell you pros and cons to everything... and about some of the popular fish ect

question for anyone that has the book and read it...should I take everything in it as truth? Or does it have tidbits in it that have 4 and 5 different opinions depending on who you ask?

I have the book and refer to it as often as I remember to. Fenner provides facts about habitat, food sources, compatibilities, etc but also expresses some things as "his opinion". Some of the corals illustrated in the book,for example, he says should not be kept in aquaria.......but he indicates that that comment is his opinion based on his experiences and allows that others may differ with him.

Again, it's written by Bob Fenner and is called "The Conscienctous Marine Aquarist". Make sure you get the latest edition! I think there is one from '96 or '98 and one in '02. Get the '02 version! ;)

That is an exceptional book... Great photos and a nice section on invertebrates and fish. It is a little outdated, but a lot less so than others you will find.

IT CAME IT CAME! I am so excited to have this damn thing...I ordrered it on the 13th though! :mad: Barnes and Noble must have seen me coming. Nice pictures, well worth the wait. Can't wait to start reading it.
