My new CRAZY Yellow Zoas from the Pacific!!

I heard that they were out there, well I finally got a hold of some
:cheer: :jumping: . I just got them so they have not really opened up yet. Anyone else have any yellows to share pics of?????

Those are cool, I've tried the yellow polyps from here a couple of times but they keep dying.

lol. What do you think happened, where did you have them in the tank???what lighting pc's or MH's.???

Sorry....I had them with my other zoas that are doing great. They were about half way up in my tank under 260 watts of PC lighting (75 gallon).I had a thread around a few months ago about it. I'll try to find it.

Are they yellow Zoanthids or Yellow Colony Polyps. If they are the latter, you need to feed them, they don't seem to survive on light alone.

Thanks for the link, yea they are zoanthids. From what I have heard they can be hard to keep?????

This is when I first got mine, Ive had them for about a year now... I lost power for 16 hours last FEB. and they receded. They are doing better now and about 1/2 of them are still there.

I had them under PC's and they did fine, now have MH's and they look even better. I have them about mid level, Id say med flow.
