my new flame angelfish won't eat

Hey guys,
I received a beautiful new flame angelfish two days ago... He seems generally healthy, but I'm having difficulty figuring out what to feed him.
I've looked at several books and websites and they recommend a huge range of foods - from flakes to meaty foods to greens... I have direct experience with two types of foods and I've tried them both:
1) Formula 2 flake food (green jar)
2) Mysis shrimp (formerly frozen) soaked in Selcon
However, he doesn't seem interested in either of these things. Can you recommend anything else? (Hopefully not anything too insanely complicated). I don't really know what to try next and I'm worried about the well-being of my fish...
Thanks!!
Julie
P.S. Is it possible he's just nervous about being in a new tank and will become interested in food later on? This is my first experience with a pygmy angelfish.

It may be that he is stressed. You could try and soak it in guarlic guard that may get him to eat. If not try some other food.

Hey Guys!
Thanks for all the advice!
In the end, it seems that my flame angelfish was just nervous or shy.... For the first two days, he primarily hid in a corner and I couldn't get him to even look at food. During the next day or so, I caught him exploring the tank, though he'd dash to the corner whenever he saw me make a movement.
Finally, on about the 5th day, he felt comfortable enough to eat... Since then, he seems very happy with whatever food I give him - green flakes, some pellets, mysis shrimp - he eats it all!
Yay!

good news. that is pretty common for pygmy angels not to eat for a few days in a new system. greens and liverock(for pods and algae) are the best.

I have the same thing going on with my new Angelfish. Could someone read my post and give me their opinion.
