Well, i have no idea what any of that means. I need to look into getting a new camera. I have a Canon Powershot SD850 IS right now. I am looking to upgrade to an SLR (i assume that's what you have?)... How much would a camera like yours run me, say without the extras but including the Macro lens?

hahaha I got close to 7grand in my camera setup.
You could start out with a very nice used Canon Xt or XTi that will run in the 300-450 range.
Then you can get a VERY nice piece of glass like the Sigma 17-70 that will be happy with for about $330
Or you can get the canon 28-105 3.5-4.5 it is a very nice lens for about $250 its just not very wide angle being 28mm

Now...... deeeeeeeeeeeerrrr I would like a camera that I can just hit a button and get nice pic, any idea?
I'm serious too. when it comes to cameras I’m as dumb as one can get.
I think that’s why I don’t own one anymore and keeping grabbing my buddies camera to take pics of stuff.
Seems a camera can never get the right color or light.
