My new perc clown

that is a ocellaris clown not a percula.... I hate when the shops name fish wrong.

Ok i guess it is a ocellaris clown...if i got another one would the bigger one turn into a female and the other a male or do you have to buy them like that already? There were two at the shop i got this one at who were near each other. Do you think that they were one male and female. I want to get another one and have a male and a female so i was wondering if they would change. thanks

just make sure to introduce a smaller clown that way the current one will become female and the newly added one will become a male. i would wait a little while before adding the other clown though that way the first clown will get somewhat established and your LFS can get a new chipment of clowns in thatway you can pick the smallest of the group.

to me it looks small enuf so it is probably a juvinile meaning that it is still unsexed.. the clownfish stages of maturity starts with unsexed juvi, to male, on to female. if a female is already present then the males will stay males. females cant turn back. I would go ahead and add another one same size or smaller.
