My new RBTA...

I got back from the frag swap yesterday and just couldn't pass this guy up. He's approx 6" in diameter and was only $60. I acclimated him like I would a fish (drip method) and he seems to be doing fine so far. After roaming a little, he has now moved into one of the caves and seems to be staying put. My question is: how long will he stay there? I assume since they need meat along with light, that he'll eventually settle somewhere he can find both right?
Will he eventually come out and find a place where he can "bask" in the light?

What type of lighting do you have ? What type of lighting did it come from ? What do you have for water flow ? How old is your tank ? Water parameters ?

All of the above... and.... Supplemental feeding is not necessary if you have the correct environment for them. It is getting acclimated to its new habitat and if all of your perameters are up to par then it could come out in as little as a day to as long as a few days. But more information about your tank is needed as said before.

lighting that I have - 4x96w pc's over a 125.
lighting it came from - ?
water flow - approx 3350GPH
age of tank - approx 1.5 yrs
parameters - all 0, maybe 10 nitrate, ph 8.0
I don't have a pic right now, but i can take one when i get home from work. It looks healthy. Other than the fact it was a little white around its center from being stressed while it was in a plastic bag for hours, its tentacles are bubbled up and he looks good.
I plan on being upgraded to 3x175 mh's by Christmas regardless, but the guy who i bought him off of seemed very knowledgeable and told me my lighting would be fine.

IMO your ok.
"Lighting it came from"... is refering to the lighting in the tank it was in before you got it. Change in intensity can cause an anemone to hide out for a while till it gets acclimated not only your tank but to your lights too.

I figured i was, but just wanted to make sure he would eventually come out. I'd be a waste of $ if he just hid the whole time.
