Iwas wonder if this equipment would suffice for a nice reef tank.. its a 55 all glass, i have 20 lbs of live sand (goin to get more today) gettin my live rock in today from here will have a total of 60 lbs, a rainbow fluidized sand filter, a wet/dry, smart light, sea clone protein skimmer, and a jaeger heater. I want to have mostly soft corals ie mushrooms and leathers, and dwarf angels, crabs and shrimp. Will this work and can u think of anything else i need to do, ourse i will let my tank continue cyclin for another month, and ease the corals in right? THen fish?http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/bstrdfrmthesouth

Sounds like a good plan. The lights need to be very strong to support corals. If I may suggest, a minium of 4 55w power compacts. If you can affors the extra bucks get the 96w.
IMO:
I would leave off the sand filter. I have had problems in a tank that I found to be coming from the sand filter. Something, I don't know what, had gotten in there and somehow spoiled the tank. I had all fish die and when I started over, I had the second batch die also. That was with new water and all. Well, The third time I decided to leave off the sand filter and had no more problems. The conclusion made by me was the sand filter had some problems. Like I said this is just my experience with them. My opinion, others may diasgree.
