My Pictures are all balony. Help?

Well I've recently set up my nano and really wanted to post some progression pics. I don't have much in the tank but it still looks nice and the pictures I have been taking are horrible.
Its a Casio Exilim EX-Z3 digital camera. 3.2 Mega Pixels. I read the tips but it didn't change much. Of course Im not expecting anything close to Rye's or anything but just something decent ya know? Is it my camera thats crap? I got it for my B-day.
Any help would be really great!!!!!!!!!!!

Turn the flash off.
Use your camera's software to crop in a little bit. Do you have any control over the ISO settings on the camera?
Not a bad pic at all either. I am horrible at full tank shots.

There is an ISO ON/OFF Its on right now. Not sure what it is anyway? Theres also a white balance that I can change, what should I do with that?
