My pink tail lost his mind

So right now I have a foxface and a 5" pinktail trigger in a 125gal. I've never noticed any agression from the pink tail, at all, not even towards hermit crabs! Well over the weekend, I decided to add a watchman goby to the tank. Pretty big, I'd say length wise is was as big as the trigger. Well, I put him in and notice some chasing from the trigger but I figure it's just normal, then I had to go out for a few hours. I come back home, check on the fish and there's about a quarter missing from the watchman goby! I don't mean just tail nipping, but the whole back end! Holy cow! I took the trigger out and put him in the QT but the goby died the next day.
Goes to show you, some of these triggers are nuts! This was the least agressive trigger in my mind. He swims with the foxface and never struck me as an agressive fish.

Kind of surprising, kind of not. The most comprehensive trigger aggression report (for lack of better title) has the Pink tail as a 2 on a scale of 1-5. The others in that level were Black Hawaiian and Indian, the 1's were the Xanthichthys genus of Triggers. But I have even had my Sargassum show his "triggerness" on a few occasions.
Trigger will be Triggers.

Yep, I guess you can never tell what a trigger decides to do. Weird because he's not bothering the yellow tail damsel in the QT at all.

I have had in the past a Huma Huma that was the BIGGEST WIMP I mean a it was scared of a chunk of Mysis. Then a Ex GF got a Dottyback and it Snapped in 30 mins it killed 4 fish that give you a clue on how freakish they can be.

As with my Lei. Fine with chromis for months, one morning wake up to chomping, sounded like a large cat biting a bone as hard as he could, as the Lei chasing down and trying to eat one of chromis.

YT damsels are too smart. By that I mean they know they're on the lower end of the food chain, but know where to drawn the line between running for cover, and messing with other fine.

I don't know what to do with him now... he's still in QT. Should I put him back in the 125 and take my chances he won't do this to other fish? I hate to sell him because he's the prettiest pink tail I ever saw.

Hey rcreations, i think this is normal for a pinktail when it gets older, my guy will harass any new fish beyond belief. the only one that could stand up to him was the clown trigger when i added him. My pink tail is food agressive and will rip food out of anybodys mouth. They are pretty fish, good luck with your problem!

Kind of like saying "He was the most sane serial killer I ever met," or "He was the kindest mugger I've ever come across."

He's still in QT and very upset about it. He's biting my PVC pipes, filters, everything! I found a guy who'd want the pinktail but I'm still not sure if I want to sell him. I'll decide by this weekend. This weekend he's either going back in his old tank or going to sell him to this guy.
